Gasthaus Zum Adler in March

On the last visit, the staff, including the boss, wore a mouth guard under their chin! The measures are obviously not taken seriously here! The food was mediocre. The meat dry, the liver roasted dead and stringy ... Getting a second drink was almost impossible because hardly anyone was seen at the table. Even the free ouzo doesn't save anything ... Pity!

Cozy and delicious

We were there a few years ago (shortly after the opening of the Greeks) actually didn't want to go back. Yesterday we decided to try it again. The food was very good and a lot better than then. But the friendliness ... it leaves a lot to be desired. The boss only has to do with his cell phone and has no view of his guests. Except hello and goodbye. The service was also very reserved. She didn't even have the normal standard phrases like "Bon appetit" or "Did you like it?" left for us. Hospitality is therefore not very important there. We won't try a third time. Oh yes, the mouth and nose protector hung under the chin. Neither the boss nor the waitress put on the masks.

After today's visit to the Adler, Greek cuisine, and a halfway useful taste, except for lamb and liver, the food we ate led to a petrified gut feeling and after about an hour to repeated very fast digestion. We recommend the management to rethink their kitchen quality, in contrast to other restaurants something is going wrong here. I wish you success !

The location is nice, staff friendly but the food is totally spicy, you don't need it again. Staff do not wear masks.

Last order, we won't be eating there for the time being. The quality of the dishes fluctuates too much, sometimes top, mostly mediocre to bad. Card payment not possible, “invoice” handwritten note. No MNS, neither with the “boss” nor in the service or the kitchen. Mostly bad experiences also regarding the “friendliness”.

Typical Greek restaurant. Aged but reliably delicious with Uzo on the house. Card payment was not possible.

Delicious meal. If you love a lot of meat, this is the place for you. The vegetarian starters are also very tasty. The boss was very friendly.

just have a good Greek meal

I cannot understand this one star rating. I personally enjoy Greek food and have been to hundreds of Europeans in the past few decades. Unfortunately, even in those that really deserve a star, these are worlds away from what is available here. I can only explain it to myself. That the one star reviewers are used to most McDonald's, Burger King, KFC ... and get a culture shock when they get typical Trational (after Grandma's recipe) food.

Nice atmosphere, good atmosphere, friendly service. Normal prices, food average. Plenty of space, suitable for groups, couples or alone. Parking in front of the door and in the back yard. There are offers at lunchtime. All in all okay for a meal. There are better Greek cuisines.

Very tasty food, large portions and good prices. We have got Ouzo for free as well! What we appreciated as well, guess why, is that their kitchen is open till 14:30 for lunch, not 14:00 as in many places in the area!

The food can not be recommended there ... Freshly prepared is something else.

You can sit outside very nicely. The food is good, only the staff is sometimes totally lost.

Food was good, only the souvlaki skewers were extremely dry. Otherwise cozy atmosphere, but in my opinion are better Greeks in Freiburg and the surrounding area.

Solid middle class. Value for money is okay, food is okay, quality and service. Service was okay and friendly, but these exuberant reviews of the service were at least during our visit incomprehensible. Since it is already cleared when it is still eaten, drinks orders are made shortly after the order wrong, with two orders !? All in all, okay, but nothing where you have to go now necessarily.
